About The Position

This role is for a dedicated innovation team that works closely with senior executives and tech leadership, focused on rapid prototyping, POCs, and taking experimental ideas to market. You will be the team building the next generation of Bluehost products. We’re seeking a Senior Architect to define and drive the technical vision across our platform, bringing together scalable architecture, modern development practices, and emerging technologies to deliver innovative products to market This is a hands-on role where you’ll operate as both architect and builder, designing systems that leverage agentic AI, modern cloud architectures, and real-time development workflows. You will play a critical role in shaping what we build, how we build it, and how quickly we bring it to market.

Requirements

• 10–15+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Deep understanding of microservices, APIs, and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with modern programming languages (Python, PHP, Go, JavaScript)
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Proven ability to take ideas from concept → production → scale
• Strong hands-on coding background—you still build daily
• Strategic thinker with strong execution ability
• Demonstrated experience in architecting AI-native products

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the end-to-end technical vision from concept to production
• Turn 0→1 ideas into scalable, commercialized products
• Design systems where AI participates in the software development lifecycle
• Architect solutions leveraging agentic AI, automation, and cloud-native design
• Evaluate technologies and determine build vs buy vs integrate decisions
• Partner with leadership to align technical direction with business impact
• Mentor engineers while remaining deeply hands-on in development
• AI/ML architecture patterns (RAG, agent frameworks, model serving), system design for AI-native products, and experience evaluating build-vs-buy for AI capabilities.
• Setting technical direction for the innovation team, influencing engineering-wide decisions, building the AI platform layer that other teams can leverage.
