About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Architect – Supply Chain to serve as a pivotal technical leader within our Material Planning, Logistics, and Fulfillment organizations. As Ford modernizes its global operations, you will be the architect behind the technical design and integrated systems that power our future. This is not just a maintenance role; it is a transformation role. You will lead the charge in migrating legacy mainframe systems to modern, cloud-native architectures while integrating advanced technologies like AI/ML, Digital Twins, and Predictive Analytics to create a more resilient and responsive supply chain. Strategic Technical Architecture Design the Future: Evolve the technical architecture for supply chain modernization, focusing on material flow, inventory management, and operational resilience. End-to-End Alignment: Develop detailed technical specifications that align functional business requirements with scalable, secure, and high-performance technical solutions. Integration Excellence: Partner with domain leads to ensure seamless connectivity between enterprise planning platforms and execution systems. Solution Innovation & Development Scalable Solutions: Lead the design of technical products supporting sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and supplier collaboration. Engineering Standards: Provide mentorship to development teams, ensuring the use of reusable design patterns and adherence to rigorous engineering standards. Drive Innovation: Identify and implement cutting-edge solutions to solve complex supply chain bottlenecks and enable data-driven decision-making. Modernization & Cloud Transformation Cloud Migration: Define the technical strategy for migrating legacy mainframe platforms to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Data Governance: Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure accurate, governed, and efficient data movement (cleansing, mapping, and transformation). Interoperability: Design integration strategies that allow legacy systems, cloud platforms, and third-party applications (e.g., SAP, E2Open) to work in harmony. Technology Leadership & Evaluation Tech Scouting: Research and recommend emerging technologies, evaluating them for cost-effectiveness, scalability, and long-term sustainability. Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of industry trends in Supply Chain 4.0, cloud ecosystems, and integrated data platforms. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in technical architecture and software engineering.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven track record in Supply Chain Management, specifically with platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, E2Open, or Global TMS platforms.
  • Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience designing and implementing data products and pipelines within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
