About The Position

We are seeking a LICENSED SENIOR ARCHITECT to join the team in our AUSTIN, TX office. This experienced professional is a fully competent architect in all conventional aspects of architecture , responsible to direct, coordinate and oversee all technical project team efforts to deliver an accurate and complete set of project documents. This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite at our Austin, TX office.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in developing details and providing technical and design support in the preparation of Design Development for commercial projects required.
  • Strong knowledge of code and demonstrated awareness of code limitations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
  • Self-motivated; ability to work independently and in a team environment to coordinate and maintain positive working relationships with other technical staff, outside consultants, and clients
  • Able to effectively and positively provide direction and lead architectural staff
  • Strong skills and talent in SketchUp modeling, AutoCAD, and Revit/BIM.
  • Must be able to handle multiple concurrent projects and/or deadlines.
  • Licensed & registered Architect in the state of TX
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Well-versed in IBC and Texas amendments, Type V construction; accessibility requirements; occupancies A, B, & M
  • Completion of Bachelor's in Architecture or Master's in Architecture from an NAAB accredited program.
  • Commitment to their own professional growth.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully coordinate all project efforts through all phases of design and development to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution for the most complex projects.
  • Present directly to the client on technical and design solutions.
  • Direct Schematic Design and Construction.
  • Document and monitor adherence to project requirements.
  • Supervise the teams' design and technical delivery.
  • Monitor budgets and schedules and maintain project documentation.
  • Develop and represent lead technical viewpoint on projects.
  • Coordinate with Project Management, other Architects and consultants on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies.
  • Deliver a complete, accurate and well- coordinated set of project documents for quality control review with minimal comments.
  • Mentor architectural staff.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, and collaboration with clients, staff, and resource teams.
