About The Position

Under the general direction of the Manager of Information Technology Operations, the Senior Applications Analyst is responsible for evaluating, implementing, and supporting enterprise applications that enhance casino operations. This role ensures the seamless functionality of mission-critical applications, troubleshoots issues, and identifies opportunities for process improvement. The analyst collaborates with department leaders to align technology solutions with business objectives while maintaining compliance with gaming regulations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an Applications Analyst role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, proven analytical and problem-solving abilities are required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license.
  • Deep understanding of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving application-related issues in enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices, system configuration, and integrating third-party applications with existing infrastructure.
  • Ability to ensure seamless communication between platforms while maintaining data integrity.
  • Ability to write, analyze, and optimize SQL queries to retrieve, update, and manage data within enterprise databases.
  • Experience with database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting complex queries.
  • Skill in planning, organizing and coordinating information technologies and prioritizing work activities in accordance with established goals and objectives.
  • Exhibits skill in analyzing problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions, and implementing recommendations.
  • Strong ability to create, maintain, and update technical documentation, user manuals, troubleshooting guides, and system diagrams. Ensures accurate record-keeping for audits, compliance, and knowledge-sharing.
  • Proficiency in extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data to generate reports and insights. Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools, dashboards, and reporting software to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to analyze business needs, think strategically, and communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to anticipate challenges and proactively implement solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Ability to develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for end users

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the gaming or hospitality industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with casino management systems, gaming applications, and regulatory requirements, including experience with platforms such as Konami Synkros, UKG, InfoGenesis, SWS, and Sage ERP while understanding of how these systems interact within a casino ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support for enterprise application issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Analyze system performance, identify inefficiencies, and suggest improvements to optimize business processes.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for enterprise applications, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Address software-related incidents, diagnose issues within databases, integrations, and infrastructure, and coordinate resolutions with internal teams and vendors.
  • Coordinate with IT leadership and department heads to assess technology needs and implement solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth business process analysis to align applications with operational needs and optimize workflows.
  • Create detailed technical and functional specifications for system enhancements and integrations.
  • Monitor application performance, logging errors, and implementing proactive measures to mitigate recurring issues.
  • Lead the deployment and configuration of new applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Manage application patching, upgrades, and security updates, coordinating efforts with IT infrastructure and security teams.
  • Design and generate reports using SQL, BI tools, or built-in application reporting functionalities to support data-driven decision-making
  • Create and maintain up-to-date system documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business users, ensuring clear communication of system capabilities and limitations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology roadmaps with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability between applications, databases, and reporting tools.
  • Document system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and application workflows for knowledge sharing.
  • Engage and contribute to the established Change Management process and CAB meetings.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between enterprise applications and third-party systems.
  • Manage software licensing, compliance, and vendor relations, including evaluating new software solutions.
  • Conduct end-user training and develop support materials to improve application adoption.
  • Ensure data integrity, perform regular system audits, and support backup and recovery processes.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations and respond to critical system issues as needed
  • Performs other duties as required.
