About The Position

The Senior Applications Analyst is responsible for applying past experience and industry standards in the planning, organizing, and execution of Business Needs Assessments (commonly referred to as Business Requirements) for the development and enhancement of enterprise application capabilities that are cost‑effective, scalable, and aligned with business needs. This role supports and optimizes Oracle Cloud Applications, including Financials, Procurement, and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions. The Senior Applications Analyst may engage in the solutioning of complex functional and technical challenges and recommend, configure, and implement Oracle Cloud and EPM system capabilities—including ARCS (Account Reconciliation Cloud Service) & FCCS (Financial close and consolidation service)—to support complex business processes and project objectives. This includes partnering with business and IT stakeholders to translate financial, accounting, and operational requirements into effective system designs and configurations. The Senior Applications Analyst plays asustained role throughout the full Development Lifecycle, including gathering and documenting business requirements, creating use‑case scenarios, modeling end‑to‑end business and financial processes, and supporting solution design, testing, and deployment. The role also contributes to planning and governance activities to ensure that delivered solutions—particularly within Oracle Fusion SaaS ERP Financials, EPM Cloud, and Oracle Account Reconciliation and Financial Close and Consolidation applications —meet business, compliance, and reporting requirements while enabling improved financial close, reconciliation, and performance management processes.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional work experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM products, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience performing business and functional analysis in complex Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle EPM environments, including ARCS and FCCS, supporting large cross‑functional teams consisting of Finance, Accounting, IT, and executive leadership.
  • Experience applying both process‑driven and data‑driven structured analysis techniques to design, evaluate, and optimize solutions across Oracle Cloud ERP, EPM, ARCS, and FCCS, particularly for financial close, consolidation, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
  • Has a deep understanding of the general accounting and auditing principles and the concepts of accounting in ERP and EPM. Should be able extremely knowledgeable in the financial concepts around reconciliation, consolidation, profit and loss, balance sheets.
  • Has a good understanding of Oracle Integration Cloud and related concepts. Experience in working with integrations designed and developed in OIC is required.
  • Excellent communication, influence, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate business objectives, project scope, functional requirements, and solution designs for Oracle Cloud ERP, EPM, ARCS, and FCCS initiatives to audiences at all levels, including executive leadership.
  • Strong ability to conceptualize complex business and financial problems and design innovative, scalable solutions leveraging Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM capabilities, including financial close, consolidation, and reconciliation use cases.
  • Acts as a champion of change, process standardization, and Oracle best practices, influencing both business and technical teams to adopt optimized solutions across Cloud ERP, ARCS, FCCS, and EPM platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, lead, and mentor team members by providing subject‑matter expertise in Oracle Cloud ERP Financials, EPM, ARCS, and FCCS, and guiding less experienced analysts through complex functional and process design challenges.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills with proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, and deliverables across enterprise‑scale Oracle Cloud and EPM programs.
  • Advanced data interpretation and analytical skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from ERP and EPM data to support business requirements, financial close accuracy, reconciliation integrity, and decision‑making.
  • Ability to deeply understand stakeholder needs and apply creative and strategic thinking to recommend system, process, and control enhancements across Oracle Cloud ERP, ARCS, FCCS, and EPM environments.

  • Proven ability to identify, assess, and propose solutions to project risks, functional gaps, data issues, and conflicting requirements, particularly in complex financial close, consolidation, and reconciliation scenarios.
  • Strong capability to summarize complex requirements and clearly link them to business and financial objectives, while anticipating downstream impacts to integrated Cloud ERP and EPM systems.
  • Excellent research skills with the ability to independently gain both high‑level understanding and deep functional knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP, ARCS, FCCS, and EPM features and enhancements.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Kanban, Sprints), with experience applying agile practices to Oracle Cloud and EPM delivery and support models.
  • Strong root‑cause analysis skills, including the ability to analyze functional issues across ERP and EPM systems
  • Proficient in writing SQL queries and have a deep technical understanding of the underlying tables and schemas of Oracle cloud ERP and EPM
  • Experience working on Narrative reporting and related capabilities.
  • Deep, hands‑on understanding of multiple enterprise systems, with a strong emphasis on Oracle Cloud ERP Financials, Oracle EPM Cloud, ARCS, FCCS, and their integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Works independently and provides thought leadership in assisting the business with defining and refining project vision, scope, risks, assumptions, and stakeholder alignment for Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM initiatives, including ARCS and FCCS, with minimal oversight.
  • Leads the planning, coordination, and development of comprehensive functional documentation, including Business Requirements, Functional and Technical Design Documents, Use Cases, Process Models, Business Needs Assessments, and Conceptual Designs, specifically supporting Oracle ERP and EPM Cloud primarily around GL, AR, AP, financial close, consolidation, and reconciliation processes.
  • Independently gathers, analyzes, and validates complex business and accounting requirements; evaluates existing and proposed solutions; and drives the design, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle Cloud ERP Financials, Oracle EPM Cloud, ARCS, and FCCS applications.
  • Performs advanced dependency analysis, functional and workflow design, use‑case modeling, data modeling, and end‑to-end process analysis, with a deep understanding of current‑state and future‑state business rules across GL, subledgers, financial close, consolidation, and account reconciliation.
  • Designs, configures, and supports ARCS components, including: Reconciliation profiles and formats Matching rules and tolerances Transaction Matching configurations Workflow, approvals, and task management Close calendars and reconciliation schedules Audit‑ready documentation and controls
  • Designs, configures, and supports FCCS functionality, including: Consolidation structures and hierarchies Elimination and intercompany processing Close calendars and period management Data integration with Oracle Cloud ERP General Ledger Validation rules and reporting structures
  • Partners with technical and integration teams to support and validate data flows between Oracle Cloud ERP (GL, AR, AP, FA and CM) and EPM (ARCS and FCCS), ensuring data integrity, reconciliation accuracy, and alignment with accounting and audit requirements.

  • Acts as a senior contributor within the testing discipline by partnering with the Test Lead to define test strategy, test planning, data validation approaches, incident analysis, QA, and UAT, particularly for complex, cross‑module Oracle Cloud and EPM scenarios.
  • Leverages deep knowledge of Oracle Cloud and EPM system behavior, metadata, and data structures to guide efficient and effective testing approaches, including reconciliation balancing, consolidation validation, and close process controls.
  • Independently plan and manage all aspects of the requirements discipline, including effort estimation, feasibility analysis, executive and stakeholder reporting, change request management, issue and risk tracking, process improvement initiatives, and project planning for enterprise financial systems.
  • Provides senior‑level support throughout the project lifecycle, including issue resolution, break/fix and hot‑fix support, incident triage, and ongoing maintenance of requirements traceability and functional documentation for Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM solutions.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to business and finance leadership by staying current with Oracle Cloud, EPM, ARCS, and FCCS capabilities, proactively identifying opportunities to automate, standardize, and optimize financial close and reconciliation processes.
