About The Position

Senior Application Engineer SUMMARY: Aeroseal is looking for a Senior Application Engineer to support Aeroseal’s building solutions services by providing technical expertise in HVAC systems, energy savings models, and measurement and verification (M&V). In this role, you will work closely with sales and operations teams to evaluate building systems, analyze energy performance, and support the design and implementation of Aeroseal solutions. You will contribute to energy models, savings calculations, and technical documentation that help ensure projects deliver measurable energy efficiency, improved indoor air quality, and reliable outcomes for building owners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Building Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in HVAC engineering, application engineering, energy engineering, or building performance roles.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, airflow, duct design, controls, and building operations.
  • Experience developing or reviewing energy models and performing energy savings calculations.
  • Familiarity with measurement and verification (M&V) concepts and performance-based projects.
  • Working knowledge of ASHRAE standards; familiarity with SMACNA and utility/ESCO project requirements is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, field operations, and customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of ASHRAE standards; familiarity with SMACNA and utility/ESCO project requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide application engineering support for Aeroseal services, including HVAC system evaluation, project feasibility analysis, and technical guidance.
  • Develop and review energy models, savings estimates, and technical calculations to support project proposals and performance expectations.
  • Support measurement and verification (M&V) planning, documentation, and post-project analysis as needed.
  • Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and building data to identify opportunities, risks, and design considerations.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support customer discussions, technical proposals, and solution development.
  • Work with operations and field teams to support proper project execution.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and customer-facing materials related to energy impact.
  • Stay current with HVAC technologies, energy efficiency practices, and industry standards.
