Senior Anti-Submarine Warfare Analyst (Navy/DoD)
About The Position
THOR Solutions is actively seeking a Senior-Level Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Analyst to support the US Navy Ship Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Readiness and Effectiveness Measuring (SHAREM) at Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) in San Diego, CA. This position is associated with an upcoming contract that THOR is pursuing, with an estimated award/work start late 2025. We are conducting preliminary, “contingent” hiring for roles associated with this contract. The work start is dependent upon THOR being awarded this contract.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Fifteen (15) years of US Navy experience in ship, submarine, and aircraft operations and warfare tasks.
- Six (6) years experience in managing projects or programs.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
- Proficient with common productivity software, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills.
- This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate must already possess an active or interim security clearance. A candidate with especially strong, relevant experience but no active security clearance may still be considered, but work start would be dependent upon a new Secret clearance being awarded.
Responsibilities
- Designs test and data collection plans for exercises
- Lead observer aboard exercise units to coordinate observation and data collection efforts to support exercise reconstruction
- Develop exercise messages
- Reconstructs exercise events
- Analyzes exercise results IAW the Analysis Plan
- Primary author of analytical reports, such as Reconstruction and Analysis, Cross or Focused Study and Annual Reports
