About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Product team and play an important part in maintaining the quality of our indexes, engaging with market participants, and helping GX benchmarks gain wider recognition and trust. In this role, you’ll build on your existing market knowledge while continuing to develop your expertise in specific energy markets. Requirements

A BA/BS is required, with preference towards numerate subjects such as Engineering, Finance, or Economics
A minimum of three years of experience in the crude oil or refined products markets isrequired.
Comfortable sourcing and building relationships with data providers
Solution driven, naturally curious, possess a high level of numerical ability, and are proficient in Microsoft Excel
Your accuracy and attention to detail are exceptional
Possess strong communication skills and the confidence and ability to present and articulate a topic clearly
An interest in commodities, with a strong desire to learn more about the mechanics of pricing

Responsibilities

Taking ownership for specific market segments, including: Responsibility for daily price generation.
Ensuring calculations areaccurateand aligned with GXmethodology.
Engagement and relationship-building with participants and data contributors in this segment.
Development of trade and data-based market insights and analysis to contextualize price movements.
Working closely with Sales and other teams to help clients understand and adopt GX data.
Contribute to the identification and development of new markets, from early research through to index launch.
Support GX webinars,publicationsand other thought-leadership content.
Mentor and support junior analysts, sharing knowledge and best practice.
