About The Position

Full-time professional position headquartered in Reston, VA with relocation to unanticipated project sites within the US. Duties: Conduct software tests with a deep understanding of the Software Test Lifecycle, including Test Strategy, Test Planning, Test Case Design, Test Data Setup, Defect Management, Test Logs, Test Results, and Test Traceability Matrix. Proficient in automation testing using Selenium and TestNG framework to enhance test coverage and efficiency, with hands-on experience in automating regression and functional tests. Implement reporting tool to generate detailed and insightful test execution reports and provide transparency and actionable insights to stakeholders. Set up test environment. Track and manage automation test executions across multiple environments. Manage and report test status through QA metrics, with an emphasis on tracking automation test results and ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines. Assist with detailed test planning and execution schedules, including automation integration into the testing process to accelerate delivery cycles. Perform system, functional, integration, and regression testing, leveraging automation to increase test efficiency and reduce manual testing efforts. Rapidly adopt new technologies, tools, and best practices, with a focus on automation tools and techniques to streamline testing processes. Prioritize work and meet delivery deadlines to ensure timely automation test execution and defect resolution. Lead peer reviews of test plans, test cases, and test data requirements, to ensure the effective inclusion of automation scripts where applicable. Apply problem-solving skills, chase down open issues, drive closure, and manage test dependencies while ensuring proper automation coverage. Identify testing dependencies and risks, and create and communicate risk mitigation plans to minimize risks in the automation process. Collaborate with team to identify and suggest automation solutions to resolve testing challenges. Work with JIRA and HP ALM for test management and tracking automation results and defect statuses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering field
  • 18 months of experience in the offered position or in a software quality assurance analyst/tester position.
  • Foreign equivalent degrees are acceptable.
  • 18 months of experience performing software quality assurance analysis/testing duties using the following tools: Python, Selenium C#, Appium, Java and JavaScript, JIRA and Confluence
