About The Position

Provides senior level analyst support for vendor management activities. Responsibilities include monitoring key strategic/larger scale/more complex agreements from inception through completion, engaging and overseeing the work of external vendors, data analysis and solutioning for business and vendor performance issues, reviewing service level agreements (SLAs) to identify and interpret trends and patterns and adherence to performance targets, analyzing and reporting on key financial, contractual terms and business impact, and providing data-driven recommendations to support business and vendor needs. Evaluates the terms and conditions of a variety of strategic vendor contracts (e.g., information technology infrastructure, information technology applications, medical benefit management, payment integrity, print and fulfillment, etc.). Reviews/analyzes data by applying job knowledge and experience to ensure appropriate information is provided on time. Develops and maintains detailed project plans to include milestones, tasks, and target/actual dates of completion. Revises project plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Prepares and submits project status reports to management (e.g., service level agreement (SLA), milestone, and financial reporting). Schedules and conducts meetings to include logistics, agendas, and meeting minutes. Interfaces with internal leadership and external parties to gather specifications and perform validation of terms of agreement necessary for contract administration. Generates reports and performs analysis of impact to other departments (e.g., contact center, appeals and grievances, etc.). Determines and initiates required follow-up and/or additional analysis. Prepares and submits reports regarding vendor contracts achievement of financial and contractual goals. Provides training and support to new and existing vendor management team members.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a health care environment (payer experience), including experience with vendor management, data analytics, contract terms and conditions, procurement, project management, and/or account management, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Familiarity in a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures applicable to job-related operational/vendor management subject areas.
  • Ability to leverage problem-solving skills and utilize critical-thinking to resolve business issues.
  • Time-management and organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to operate independently in a matrixed organization, and escalate issues and concerns as appropriate.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, customer service acumen, and presentation skills.
  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency (including Excel), and ability to learn/navigate new software programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
