About The Position

The Vendor Management Program Analyst (VM/PA) plays a crucial role in supporting the Bank’s vendor management processes. Reporting directly to a Program Manager (PM), Senior Program Manager (SPM), or Vice President of Vendor Management (VP), the VM/PA is responsible for assisting with administrative tasks related to vendor oversight. Key duties include coordinating the review of new vendor requests, managing the annual vendor review process, and preparing materials for Vendor Management Committee meetings. Additional responsibilities involve updating the master vendor inventory, reconciling the Bank’s records with Partner inventories, and distributing a quarterly vendor approval list. The VM/PA also participates in both internal and external strategy discussions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments and with Partner Vendor Management contacts. This ongoing oversight, review, and monitoring are essential to maintaining a compliant and efficient Vendor Management Program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 years in the financial industry.
  • Good people management and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well in a team or on an individual basis.
  • Excellent ability to analyze complex issues and identify suitable solutions.
  • Ability to interact effectively with other departments and operate in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to recognize and focus on critical issues. Flexibility to balance and respond to competing needs within the organization.
  • Assertive Self-Starter, good judgement, and the ability to make sound decisions.
  • Solid working knowledge of various computer systems, software, and changing technology.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to plan strategically and execute tenaciously.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FinTech, consumer lending, bank cards, or small business lending.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., FDIC, UDFI) is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in regularly scheduled Vendor Management Committee meetings to review progress related to any Vendor Management issues, opportunities, and contractual requirements.
  • Work closely with the Vendor Management Program Manager to coordinate review of Strategic Partner vendor management materials, including agreements, financials, SOC reports, and other required documentation.
  • Work closely with the assigned Program Manager(s), other departments within the Bank, or third-party resources to ensure annual vendor oversight review is completed and updated in the Bank system (Primarily Counterparty and Credit Risk Team and Information Security Team).
  • Support the implementation of New Partners through the development of four deliverables necessary before a Partner’s VM program can be approved: 1) Develop VM policy including the definition of critical vendor; 2) Support risk assessment of vendor using Bank’s critical criteria; 3) Guide the development of the Partners Vendor Inventory including identification of critical vendors; and 4) Obtain due diligence documentation for critical vendors
  • Assist in the management and review of Vendor Management Committee meeting packages.
  • Support Bank management during regulatory exams or internal audits.
  • Assist in the processing of various legal and other documents associated with the management of the Vendor Management Programs.
  • Assist functional leaders within the Bank with the completion of due diligence for new vendors.
  • Manage the process of reviewing new vendor requests from the Bank’s strategic partners.
  • Work closely with the PM, SPM, and/or VP to test oversight strategies.
  • Provided guidance to PMs, SPMS, and VPs on specified topics.
  • Support Bank management during regulatory exams or internal audits.
  • Fully support ad hoc projects as assigned.
