About The Position

Total Wine & More is seeking a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our Finance team in our Bethesda, MD office. You will leverage data driven and detail-oriented skills to forecast, analyze and report on distribution network operations and product profitability. This role interacts with several departments in the company, making it a great opportunity to learn various aspects of the business while putting your retail finance and analytical skills into work. You will provide decision-making support to our Finance and Supply Chain management teams. You will report to the Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis. You will Use multiple software packages (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Excel) to analyze KPIs, and develop actionable reports that drive decision-making surrounding the end-to-end supply chain. Prepare regular presentations assessing financial performance for senior leadership. Develop and maintain detailed financial models that support the annual budget and recurring forecast for supply chain costs. Analyze actual supply chain expenses for variance to budget and prior year. Proactively identify areas of concern and potential improvements. Develop and implement financial models to project future gross margin impacts as a result of supply chain cost changes. Other ad-hoc reports and analytics assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field required or equivalent years of experience
  • 1-4 years of experience as a financial or data analyst or consultant preferred
  • Advanced in MS Excel (can perform complex functions)
  • Experience with data modeling
  • Solid communication skills, written and oral

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in retail/consumer products industry is a plus
