About The Position

Join the Financial Services Compliance team to be a Senior Analyst focusing on the analysis of transactions to purchase covered goods (e.g., jewelry, precious metals, gemstones, and diamonds) for the world’s largest retailer. The Senior Analyst, Specialty Compliance and Ethics role is critical to ensure that Walmart satisfies its Bank Secrecy Act/Anti Money-Laundering (BSA/AML) regulatory filings. The selected hire will work from our beautiful new home office in Bentonville, AR. https://corporate.walmart.com/news/2025/01/17/the-future-of-better-begins-here-welcome-to-walmarts-new-home-office The Senior Analyst, Specialty Compliance and Ethics is an alert triage function within Walmart’s Financial Services Compliance Program Office working to review covered goods (i.e., jewelry, precious metals, gemstones, diamonds) transactions conducted on Walmart.com, SamsClub.com, and in Sam’s Club locations. The Senior Analyst will conduct initial analysis of transactions and support Investigators who conduct anti-money laundering (AML) investigations. As a Senior Analyst, you will be working to conduct analysis to identify transactional red flags indicating potentially suspicious activity, documenting the outcome of the analysis, and escalating cases for further investigation. Conduct transaction analysis in a fast-paced production environment with set daily/monthly expectations. Utilize supplementary applications to support alert dispositioning. Maintain high quality work with set weekly/monthly expectations. Spot, mitigate and escalate risk to the leadership team. Review purchase activity that requires analytical thinking. After analysis, escalate activity for further investigation, and potential subsequent regulatory reporting. Support the organization through participation in projects. Participate in continuing education and training to increase knowledge of industry changes and developments.

Requirements

  • Experience analyzing money services and/or prepaid activity and/or Walmart.com or SamsClub.com transactions to identify potential suspicious activity, such as money laundering or fraud.
  • Experience working in the dotcom fraud monitoring space.
  • Ability to use dotcom platforms, such as Accertify and Walmart Customer Care Applications (preferred).
  • A drive to execute and to act quickly.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams within a corporate environment.
  • Excel and data analysis experience
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • High degree of initiative and deadline-driven productivity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field OR 2 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area.
