Under general direction, the Senior Prospect Development Analyst provides best-in-class prospect research, portfolio management, and analytical support to assigned fundraising units. This role plays a critical part in maximizing the philanthropic potential of the University of Denver’s prospect pool by identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing major ($50K+) and leadership gift-level ($1M+) prospects. The Senior Analyst operates as a strategic partner to development officers—translating complex data into actionable insight, informing portfolio and pipeline strategy, and supporting campaign priorities through rigorous analysis and thoughtful consultation. In addition to day-to-day prospect development work, the role contributes to team-wide strategy, mentors other analysts, and provides subject-matter expertise in advanced areas of prospect research and portfolio management. Success in this role is demonstrated through impact, quality, and partnership. The ideal candidate is a seasoned prospect development professional who combines strong analytical skill with sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative mindset. They are comfortable working with ambiguity, can move fluidly between data and strategy, and are motivated by supporting relationship-based fundraising at a high level. They bring a service-oriented approach, value confidentiality, and are eager to contribute to both individual and team success. The position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with approval.
