About The Position

This role is a key contributor within Collins Aerospace’s supply chain organization, directly supporting the manufacture and delivery of mission-critical aerospace products. As a procurement professional, you will own supplier relationships within assigned commodities and ensure materials and services are sourced reliably, competitively, and in alignment with program requirements. You’ll partner closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and program teams to drive on-time delivery, cost performance, and supplier accountability in a highly regulated environment. This position offers the opportunity to make a visible impact on product execution while operating in a fast-paced, collaborative aerospace setting in Colorado Springs.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or
  • An Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • SAP experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and organizes all elements of product manufacturing and distribution related to the acquisition of materials and services.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity.
  • Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family.
  • Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost.
  • May perform delivery assurance responsibilities.
  • Carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFP's, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
  • Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Carries out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization's best interest.
  • Prepares purchase orders, approves payments, and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance.
  • Compiles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
  • Prepares request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages to take on new accounts.
  • Monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
  • Coordinate and manage send outs of machined parts for outside processing
  • Attend Change Information Board (CIB) and follow through on Supply Chain specific actions
  • Support business travel up to 10%
