About The Position

Trinity Capital Inc. (Nasdaq: TRIN) is an international alternative asset manager that seeks to deliver consistent returns for investors through access to private credit markets. We are looking for an experienced professional to join our world-class team as a Senior Analyst - Valuation in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a key finance role within a dynamic, high-growth organization, responsible for leading accurate investment valuations, strengthening reporting and best practices, and partnering across teams to deliver rigorous, insight-driven support for strategic and regulatory decision-making. We're seeking a skilled finance professional with expertise in investment valuation and accounting to join our growing team. This role partners with portfolio management, finance, auditors, and external valuation firms to drive accurate monthly and quarterly valuations. You'll work closely with leadership to enhance reporting and implement best practices. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of finance experience, strong collaboration and communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the highest ethical standards to thrive in an entrepreneurial, integrity-focused culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or relevant experience
  • At least 4 years' experience in a similar role in a listed public company or nationally recognized provider of third-party valuation services
  • Detailed understanding of the models and processes used for valuation of debt and equity securities
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations as applicable to 40 Act vehicles
  • Deep understanding of SOX controls processes and testing

  • Preferred CPA, CFA or MBA
  • Previous experience in public accounting, at a BDC, or private credit asset manager

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the debt and equity portfolio valuation process including preparation of complex valuation models for the Company's investment portfolio on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual audit of the Company's investment valuations; coordinating auditor requests and resolving inquiries.
  • Prepare valuation committee materials and reporting for senior management, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Ensure valuation process maintains effective SOX compliance and adhere to internal controls.
  • Continuously improve valuation processes by utilizing new technologies, tools and best practices.
  • Coordinate with third party valuation firms, reviewing reports, validating assumptions, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain frequent communication with industry valuation experts and monitor macroeconomic trends that may impact the Company's portfolio valuations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams like Management, Finance and Accounting to ensure alignment and accuracy of valuation assumptions and reporting.
  • Develop, document, and maintain internal valuation policies, procedures, and methodologies in accordance with industry standards.
  • Support ad-hoc analyses, special projects, process enhancements.
