Job Overview: The Senior Analyst – Inventory Management & DC Support plays a critical role in driving inventory accuracy, availability, and efficiency across the organization. This position leads inventory planning, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service levels, reduce costs, and strengthen overall operational performance. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical expertise, business acumen, and a deep understanding of inventory control processes within retail or distribution environments. This individual thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven setting and is passionate about optimizing operations through insights and process improvements. This role is remote-eligible

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, Business, IT, Logistics, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in an analytical role (retail, consumer goods, or supply chain preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI (DAX), and/or Access
  • Experience with inventory systems and retail or warehouse operations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze inventory performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to support business needs while minimizing excess and obsolescence
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrink
  • Analyze complex datasets using tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business decisions
  • Deliver regular reporting and updates to stakeholders
  • Evaluate current processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement scalable solutions
  • Support the rollout of new systems, tools, and processes that improve inventory visibility and control
  • Develop and maintain inventory control procedures
  • Gather and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Translate business needs into clear technical specifications
  • Create and maintain process documentation, workflows, and system guides
  • Facilitate clear communication across teams throughout project lifecycles
  • Monitor systems, reports, and queries to ensure data accuracy
  • Identify and resolve system or reporting issues in a timely manner
  • Support inventory and accounting accuracy through issue resolution and corrections
