About The Position

Total Wine & More is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our Finance team in our Bethesda, MD office. This role supports financial planning, reporting, and analysis across operations and corporate functions. This Senior Analyst plays a key role in delivering recurring reporting, variance analysis, and financial model development, and leverages advanced analytical tools to deliver accurate timely, and scalable insights that support strategic and operational business decision-making. This role reports to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis. You will Prepare and deliver financial reports and expense variance analysis. Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. Prepare weekly and monthly PowerPoint presentations summarizing financial performance for senior leadership. Build and maintain financial models to support planning, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis. Translate high-level direction into structured models and analytical outputs that support decision-making. Perform data validation, reconciliations, and quality checks to ensure the integrity of financial inputs and outputs across reporting and modeling activities. Leverage advanced Excel, Python, SQL, or similar tools to automate recurring reports, improve model scalability, and reduce manual effort. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency across FP&A workflows. You will come with Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting, or related field preferred or equivalent years of experience 1-4 years experience in a related field preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. complex formulas, pivot tables, data tables, Power Query). Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and identify drivers and trends. Strop aptitude for process improvement, including identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort and standardize recurring outputs. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs and support multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to build structured financial models to support planning, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting, or related field preferred or equivalent years of experience
  • 1-4 years experience in a related field preferred
