The opportunity Altruist is in the midst of an exceptional growth phase, and we’re excited to hire a Finance & Strategy Senior Analyst to join our growing FP&A team. In this role, you’ll be a key owner of our management reporting and forecasting engine across revenue, OpEx, headcount, and vendors. You will build and maintain monthly reporting packages, drive forecast accuracy, and provide clear, data-backed insights to senior leadership. Over time, you’ll also step into ad‑hoc product, revenue, and strategic analytics, helping shape the broader strategy of the company. This role works closely with business leaders and the C‑suite, with opportunities to learn and collaborate across Treasury, Business Intelligence, Procurement and Broker‑Dealer reporting as Altruist scales.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Finance, or Accounting, ideally within B2B financial services or FinTech.
  • Demonstrated experience in management reporting, OpEx and headcount analysis, and forecasting; exposure to revenue or product analytics is a plus.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and comfort working with large, complex data sets.
  • High proficiency in Excel, Google suite; experience with modern FP&A tools (e.g., Netsuite, Abacum or similar) and familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data clearly.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to senior leaders and cross‑functional partners.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive accountability around budgets and forecasts.
  • B.A. / B.S. degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Responsibilities

  • Own core management reporting:
  • Prepare the monthly Revenue Flash, Monthly Business Review (MBR), and executive reporting packages.
  • Develop clear narratives around performance, key drivers, and variances vs. plan and prior periods.
  • Lead OpEx and headcount reporting:
  • Manage OpEx reporting (actuals and BvA) at both consolidated and cost center levels.
  • Partner with budget owners to explain variances, identify risks/opportunities, and recommend actions.
  • Maintain accurate headcount and vendor reporting, including hiring plans and run‑rate impacts.
  • Forecasting and FP&A systems:
  • Maintain and update OpEx and headcount forecasts, ensuring they are timely, accurate, and aligned with business expectations.
  • Ensure all forecasts are accurately reflected and reconciled in Abacum (our FP&A reporting system).
  • Help improve forecast precision through better driver-based modeling, process discipline, and data quality.
  • Business partnership and decision support:
  • Serve as a trusted partner to functional leaders (e.g., Product, Operations, GTM, G&A) on budgets, investments, and trade‑offs.
  • Translate financial results into clear, actionable insights for non‑financial stakeholders.
  • Prepare materials for and present to senior leadership and C‑suite on performance, risks, and scenarios.
  • Product, revenue, and strategic analytics:
  • Support ad‑hoc analysis on product performance, revenue drivers, pricing, and unit economics.
  • Assist in building and refining driver-based models that connect operating metrics to financial outcomes.
  • Contribute to special projects (e.g., strategic initiatives, board materials, investment cases) as needs arise.
  • Continuous improvement:
  • Help refine our management reporting, KPIs, and dashboards in partnership with Business Intelligence.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, automate reporting, and enhance data integrity.
