About The Position

NCQA is hiring a Senior Analyst in Product Management! The position supports the development of new and enhancement of existing key products within our Performance portfolio (e.g., Data Quality, Digital Content, etc.). This position contributes to the digital product initiatives by conducting research, analyzing trends, and assisting with product development lifecycle activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals, customer needs, and regulatory requirements. They will pull from their experience in developing products and programs to help NCQA design new and innovative offerings that drive the digital measurement transition. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with strong organizational skills who can collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment. They will assist in gathering market insights, preparing pitch decks, and supporting the creation of product documentation (technical in nature) and business cases. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis & Research: Perform rigorous analysis to inform strategic product decisions and identify market opportunities. Product Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, pitch decks, business cases, and process workflows. Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate feedback, manage convenings, and prepare materials for internal reviews and approvals. Product Strategy & Development: Contribute to product strategy, feature development, and launch planning—including pilots, MVPs, and General availability. Performance Monitoring: Track product performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support enhancement initiatives post launch. Communication: Develop and share clear communications with internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective execution of product initiatives. Product Development Provide staff-level leadership in the development of new or updated products, encompassing Product Development, Customer Development, and Market Development. Conducting primary research and customer interviews to evaluate the market potential of innovative concepts. Creating comprehensive business cases to inform product viability and justification. Collaborate with the Transformation Office and Product Owner to define project scope and design, and developing and managing detailed project work plans and deliverables. Apply subject matter expertise and NCQA’s consensus-driven methodology to guide product creation. Define and facilitate pilot/beta programs to determine feasibility and market readiness of product concepts. Go-To-Market Support Take a staff level lead in efforts related to the GTM activities including the transition of products from Product Development to operational departments including (but not limited to) Operations, Sales, Marketing, Education and Customer Support. Development of policies and procedures. Development of technical documentation. Product pricing validation and implementation Development of training materials. Coordinating meetings to exchange information and resolve issues. In Market Product Management Pulse of Products: Actively track the financial state, customer feedback, and backlog for future product improvements of the assigned in market products. Leverage Product Expertise : Apply deep product knowledge to identify new development opportunities and support ongoing product enhancements. Market Engagement: Present product updates and findings to key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of health care experience in product management or data analytics . Master's degree and 2+ years.
  • Familiarity with FHIR and interoperability standards, HEDIS, and how data and information flows throughout the healthcare ecosystem is critical.
  • Experience writing standards or similar requirements.
  • Project planning and management experience.
  • Execution and results-driven mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with health plans, health IT vendors, and healthcare delivery organizations.
  • Proven experience with product lifecycle activities, requirements documentation, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Ability to develop and defend business cases and monitor product performance.
