Reporting to the Asst Director, Portfolio Management and Reporting, the Senior Agile Delivery Lead is a seasoned professional who drives the successful delivery of complex software and digital transformation initiatives within OT. This individual acts as a servant leader, leveraging a combination of Scrum Master, Project Manager, and DevOps competencies to guide multiple cross-functional teams and align planning and delivery with business objectives. This role champions agile principles, drives planning, and aligns capacity with deliverable priorities through an end-to-end implementation approach. This individual will support planning, manage budget and project financials, actively manage dependencies and risks, remove impediments, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card holder
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management).
  • 7+ years of experience in an agile delivery role, including Scrum Master and Agile Project Manager duties.
  • Proven experience leading multiple teams or complex initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
  • Experience with Cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with agile in an enterprise-level setting.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure they are productive and effective.
  • Remove impediments: Actively identify and resolve roadblocks that hinder the team's progress, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Coach and mentor: Guide the team on agile and lean principles, encouraging self-organization, ownership, and adherence to agile best practices.
  • Promote team health: Foster a collaborative and psychologically safe environment that allows team members to thrive.
  • Shield the team: Protect the development team from external distractions and interferences.
  • Track and report metrics: Monitor and report on key delivery metrics, such as velocity, lead time, and burndown charts, to ensure transparency and inform decision-making.
  • Facilitate Scrum of Scrums / CoP: Facilitate the development of, and lead the work of, Scrum of Scrums and Scrum Master Community of Practice, and leverage both to identify opportunities to improve the practice and project delivery success.
  • Manage initiatives: Oversee and manage the planning and delivery of mid-to-large-scale initiatives, tracking and reporting progress and coordinating efforts across teams.
  • Manage dependencies across multiple agile delivery teams: Lead and coordinate planning activities across teams, and monitor the delivery flow to ensure timely and accurate execution of roadmap items, maintaining inter-team alignment.
  • Manage budget: Work with functional managers and finance team on budget and financial management of assigned initiatives.
  • Manage resources: Provide resource estimation support to functional managers and maintain resource allocation documentation for planning and monitoring appropriate staffing for assigned initiatives.
  • Manage schedule: Develop and monitor end-to-end project timeline and manage and communicate changes to plans. Ensure communication of initiative updates to stakeholders and solutions delivery management.
  • Manage project scope: Work with Product Owners to help define and manage project scope, budget, resources, and timelines in an agile context.
  • Manage stakeholders: Act as the primary communication link between the development team, Product Owners, and senior leadership to align priorities and progress. Facilitate communication and collaboration to achieve common goals that span multiple teams.
  • Mitigate risks and dependencies: Proactively identify potential risks and cross-team dependencies and develop and actively manage mitigation strategies.
  • Promote DevOps culture: Advocate for and embed DevOps principles, practices, and tools into the team's workflow.
  • Drive automation: Identify and implement opportunities for automation to enhance quality, security, and delivery speed.
  • Ensure smooth releases: Coordinate and manage release and deployment activities to ensure a seamless transition to production.
  • Provide technical guidance: Have a solid grasp of the software development lifecycle to better understand and address technical challenges faced by the team.
