The senior advisor, Retail Food Safety serves as a strategic partner to regional operations leaders in the Midwest Region, working closely with food safety professionals across North America. This role leverages deep knowledge of public health and food safety to collaborate with local regulatory authorities, interpret and clarify food code requirements, and provide guidance to Regional Vice Presidents, Regional Directors, and cross-functional teams. The advisor drives food safety excellence across company-operated coffeehouses, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of safety and quality. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in General Science, Food Science, Food Safety, Culinary Arts, Environmental Public Health, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience in a multi-unit food service environment with knowledge of retail or restaurant operations and food safety regulatory requirements
Ability to prepare concise verbal, written, and visual presentations for leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills with the agility to navigate complex business dynamics

If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.
For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
