About The Position

The Office of the Registrar is seeking a Senior Administrative Coordinator I who will assist in leading the Records Administration and & Archives team. This position will direct, supervise and oversee the accuracy and maintenance of student academic records stored in the student information system and imaging system. This position will provide guidance and training to the campus community on the processes which affect student records, such as name changes, course drops, late registration, and withdrawals. They will oversee records and academic data requests from students, TAMU departments, along with state and federal agencies. Work along side other staff regarding enrollment reporting, adherence to FERPA guidelines, transcript requests, and requests to the National Student Clearinghouse. We seek a passionate and enthusiastic individual with project and time management skills, meticulous organizational skills, and an attention to detail. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of related experience in advising, recruiting, teaching, coaching, Student Affairs or other related area.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.
  • Proofreading, editing, and researching skills.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to understand, follow and give verbal and written instructions.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to comfortably interact with various staff at all levels.
  • Ability to follow standard office procedures/protocol.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of professional experience in higher education setting.
  • Professional experience in the Registrar’s Office.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
  • Experience with student information system (Banner).
  • Familiarity with Texas A&M academic procedures, policies, and rules.
  • Knowledge and understanding of FERPA.
  • Ability to comply with Texas A&M, System, State and Federal laws, regulations, rules and policies.
  • Knowledge of content management systems (CourseLeaf, Confluence) and reporting tool (UC4).
  • Training presentation and delivery skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a high stress environment.
  • Ability to work independently once given a project.
