About The Position

The University of Virginia Library is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant in the Office of the Dean of Libraries. This position will provide a high level of clerical and administrative support to the University of Virginia Library's Senior Leadership team and the Executive Assistant to the Dean of Libraries. Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1+ year of relevant experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree
  • Prior experience providing administrative support to executives or senior leaders
  • Demonstrated experience building, organizing, and maintaining Confluence site
  • Proven experience coordinating events and managing travel arrangements

Responsibilities

  • Advanced, administrative coordination to support office operations and special projects
  • Arrange business travel, coordinate meetings, and support agenda management and expense tracking
  • Compile data for preparation and editing for senior leaders
  • Review and answer correspondence, screen callers and visitors, and handle confidential matters
  • Manage electronic files and produce reports
  • Organize meetings and materials for special events
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned
