About The Position

As our Senior Footwear Developer in ACG, you'll drive product and process excellence within a team environment for your assigned projects. Working on highly complex footwear projects, you will convert a project brief and a design rendering into a sample that meets the needs of the consumer as well as the needs of the business. You'll utilize your knowledge and experience to enhance product excellence. You'll engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are managed according to critical dates and completed on time, while meeting design intent, performance goals, costing/profitability, and sustainability targets. In addition, you'll ensure that your projects are ready for the commercialization process and can ultimately be manufactured. In short, you get to create amazing performance Running footwear product!

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Product Development or Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Industrial Design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
  • Minimum of 3 years directly applicable work experience
  • High profile communication and influencing skills, including the ability to interact with leadership and cross functional product creation team members
  • Knowledge of footwear manufacturing technologies and equipment, tooling, and materials is highly preferred
  • Understanding of product planning, forecasting, and process planning with strong communication skills

  • Working on complex footwear projects, you will convert a project brief and a 2D design rendering into a 3D sample that meets the needs of the consumer as well as the needs of the business.
  • You will utilize your knowledge and experience to enhance product excellence.
  • You will engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are managed according to critical dates and completed on time, while meeting design intent, performance goals, costing/profitability and sustainability targets.
  • You will ensure that your projects are ready for the commercialization process and can ultimately be manufactured.
  • Recommend and specify the material, component and construction to meet key features and performance goals.
  • Apply your understanding of sophisticated innovation concepts to the in-line product process and offering.
  • Apply your expert level of footwear technical knowledge to drive product creation teams through 3D Prototyping, Bottom Tooling, Upper Patterns, Mold Design, Chemical, Materials, Costing, and Manufacturing to achieve project objectives in an efficient, effective, balanced, and timely way.
