Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

Premier Private Jets is a FAA Part 135 certificated aviation company based in Stuart, Florida, operating across Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO), Fixed Base Operations (FBO), and Charter Sales. We are seeking an experienced, self-directed Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to take ownership of our AP function — managing vendor payments, training support staff, and ensuring accuracy across a multi-entity accounting structure. This is a hands-on, lead-level role that requires you to be present daily at our Stuart facility.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience including full-cycle AP and payment processing
- Demonstrated experience managing AP in a multi-entity environment
- Experience entering and reconciling intercompany accounts payable
- Proficiency in a complex ERP system — candidates with QuickBooks-only experience will not be considered
- Strong foundational understanding of accounting debits and credits as they apply to Accounts Payable
- Comfortable taking the lead role in AP and training junior or support staff
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
- Must be local to the Treasure Coast area and able to report on-site daily — this position is not eligible for remote work
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) is a significant plus and will be given strong preference in the selection process
- Prior experience in aviation, aerospace, or a related regulated industry
- Familiarity with MRO, FBO, or charter operations accounting environments
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary lead for all Accounts Payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
- Train and mentor Accounts Payable support staff as the team grows
- Manage AP across multiple legal entities, including intercompany accounts payable transactions
- Apply a strong working knowledge of accounting debits and credits to ensure proper GL coding and reconciliation
- Work within a complex ERP system to process and track all payables activity
- Coordinate with operations across MRO, FBO, and Charter Sales divisions
