About The Position

Canrig Drilling Technology is seeking a Senior Account Manager to drive growth for its business within the US. The Senior Account Manager will lead commercial efforts, build customer relationships, and drive growth. This role will combine market insight, customer engagement, and structured sales processes to deliver revenue targets and accelerate the growth of Canrig’s aftermarket parts and service. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, experience selling oilfield technology or SaaS solutions, and the ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure. The Senior Accounts Manager will collaborate with Product Management, Parts Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Support teams to align customer needs with product capabilities, ensure successful delivery, and drive growth of the RigCLOUD platform. The Senior Account Manager is expected to split time between Houston and Midland to deliver superior service to our customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales or business development experience in oil & gas or similar field.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and forecasting revenue.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Ability to travel up to 40% for customer meetings and industry events.
  • Demonstrated resilience in the face of challenges, maintaining a positive and constructive approach.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality work with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities, ensuring successful outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience selling capital equipment, services, digital oilfield technologies, drilling optimization tools, or enterprise SaaS solutions.
  • Strong network within oil & gas operators, drilling contractors, and service companies.
  • Understanding of rig operations, drilling workflows, and digital transformation trends.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Canrig sales activities, including opportunity identification, pipeline development, and deal closure.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle: prospecting, qualifying, solution presentation, proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, serving as a trusted advisor for our customers.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align customer needs with product capabilities.
  • Track and forecast revenue performance, providing accurate reporting to leadership.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in collaboration with legal and commercial teams.
  • Ensure customer onboarding is successful through handoff to Customer Success and Operations teams.
  • Represent Canrig at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Maintain CRM records (Salesforce or equivalent) with accurate pipeline and activity tracking.
