About The Position

In this role, you will oversee all accounting functions for homeowners’ and condominium associations, ensuring accurate AP/AR processing, compliant financial reporting, and adherence to state statutes. You will lead the month ‑ end close process, prepare and review financial statements, and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard association funds. Serving as a key financial partner to cross-functional partners, board members, auditors, and executives, you’ll support ng annual audits and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you’ll provide leadership to accounting staff and help drive process improvements and system enhancements.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of accounting experience, including 3+ years of working in community association management, property management, or real estate
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, SUM/IF statements, V&H LOOKUPs)
  • Proficiency in community association account software (e.g., TOPS, CINC, Vantaca, AppFolio, or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience communicating financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • Vendor management experience, including resolving vendor inquiries and discrepancies timely and professionally
  • Proficiency preparing, reviewing, and finalizing monthly financial statements as well as experience proactively providing information around discrepancies/variances
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience complying with Florida Statutes 718, 720, and industry best practices
  • A high level of confidentiality, discretion, integrity, and professionalism
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • CPA license
  • People leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Prior experience managing multiple entities, companies, and/or accounts simultaneously strongly preferred
