About The Position
Join our growing team as a Senior Accounting Analyst, where you ll play a key role in supporting our expanding business and reinsurance initiatives. This is an individual contributor position with opportunities for continued development. You ll be involved in critical accounting functions, collaborating across teams, and supporting reinsurance plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Strong background in internal controls and documentation (SOX/public accounting knowledge)
- Solid GAAP accounting experience
- Reinsurance and insurance accounting experience, is beneficial
- Proven proficiency in Excel
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Nice To Haves
- CPA strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations
- Apply GAAP and statutory accounting principles
- Maintain and document internal controls
- Support reinsurance transactions
- Manage insurance accounting processes
- Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Contribute to new system implementations and reinsurance growth projects
