About The Position

Kamatics is seeking Senior Accounting Analyst who works under the general direction of the Accounting Manager and is responsible for performing a wide range of accounting activities, including general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, and special projects. This role supports accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and maintains a continuous improvement mindset to enhance processes and efficiencies. Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and meet deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required

Nice To Haves

  • CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing or aerospace environment preferred
  • Experience with FAR and CAS regulations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and cost allocations
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Reconcile sub-ledgers and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Process and reconcile supplier cash disbursements
  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and settlements
  • Prepare foreign subsidiary adjustments to convert local statutory financials to U.S. GAAP
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external and internal audits; support audit requests and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Identify and resolve system or process issues; generate reports and support documentation as needed
  • Prepare and file sales and use tax and/or property tax returns
  • Administer the company travel and expense program in accordance with company policy
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with payroll and other departments to gather information and resolve discrepancies
  • Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes and efficiency
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc analysis as assigned
