About The Position
Interstate Group is one of the nation's leading trailer manufacturers, with operations across 35 states. We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting/Finance team and own the numbers behind what we build: inventory valuation, cost analysis, variance reporting, and month-end close.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing or distribution preferred)
- Strong inventory and cost accounting knowledge
- ERP experience (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills
Nice To Haves
- Standard costing systems experience
- familiarity with WMS
- a background in multi-location inventory environments
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory and cost accounting processes across a high-volume, multi-location manufacturing operation
- Drive month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Partner with supply chain, procurement, and operations teams to deliver financial insights that improve performance
- Identify and implement process improvements in inventory tracking and ERP systems
