About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support core general ledger functions, bookkeeping, and financial reporting activities. This role involves collaborating closely with the VP of Finance and working with construction and operations teams in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in construction accounting and/or corporate real estate accounting.
  • Solid working knowledge of GAAP; familiarity with SOX requirements.
  • Hands-on experience preparing financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Experience working in NetSuite is required; familiarity with Ramp and Chase Document Exchange is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy and ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Own general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L and balance sheet reports.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis and investigate fluctuations in financial results.
  • Review account and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Apply construction accounting standards across active projects.
  • Support tax filings, regulatory submissions, and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP; support SOX controls and internal processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support leadership decision-making.
  • Partner cross-functionally with construction, operations, and finance leadership.
