The Senior Accountant plays a critical leadership role within the Finance organization, reporting to the Accounting Manager and overseeing complex accounting activities across multiple entities and business lines. This role requires a seasoned accounting professional capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy, technical expertise, and strategic insight. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 7–10 years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience, with significant exposure to multi-entity environments. Healthcare industry experience (2+ years) strongly preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills; ability to clearly articulate and present concepts and models in an accessible manner to CINQCARE’s team, investors, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of GAAP, technical accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. Advanced Excel skills required; NetSuite or other enterprise ERP experience strongly preferred.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to mentor staff, lead complex projects, and communicate effectively with senior leadership, external auditors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Technology: Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. Strong user of Excel. Experience with Accounting ERP software’s -Oracle NetSuite preferred.
  • Relationships: Ability to build and effectively manage relationships with coworkers, business leaders and external constituents; and,

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, consolidation, and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and healthcare industry regulations.
  • Drive end to end financial statement close process including providing oversight to key areas such as Accounts receivables, Accounts payable, payroll and intercompany transactions.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with technical accounting including revenue recognition, lease accounting, equity transactions, and business combinations; prepare technical memos and recommend appropriate treatments.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across ERP systems and multi-entity structures, driving continuous improvements in accounting workflows.
  • Lead external audit processes, including managing audit requests, preparing audit schedules, and resolving complex findings.
  • Develop, maintain and strengthen the internal control environment by designing, implementing, and monitoring controls that support financial integrity, operational efficiency and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support tax preparation and compliance activities and coordinate with external partners to ensure accurate and timely filings.
  • Manage treasury operations including cash flow monitoring, banking relationships, reconciliations, and liquidity planning.
  • Support the development, execution, and analysis of the annual budget, providing insight and recommendations to leadership for financial planning.
  • Actively identify key business drivers to support value add to operating teams.
  • Partner with FP&A by providing data to develop forward-looking financial models and scenario analyses.
  • Partner strategically with operational leaders to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and enhance profitability across CINQCARE’s entities.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on accounting implications of business initiatives, contracts, and new ventures.
  • Champion process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimize financial operations, reduce risk, enhance revenue, and streamline reporting.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants, reviewing work, supporting professional development, and contributing to workforce planning.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for advanced accounting questions, ERP utilization, and financial best practices.
