About The Position

itD is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core finance operations across India and the United States, ensuring accurate vendor payments, customer invoicing, month-end close, and regulatory compliance. This role is critical to maintaining financial integrity, enabling timely reporting, and supporting scalable operations as the company continues to grow globally. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in accounts payable and corporate accounting, along with a proven ability to deliver accurate financial operations, clean reporting, and dependable process execution. This long-term W2 opportunity is based in Hyderabad, India, with potential hybrid and remote collaboration with global finance teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or corporate accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, Tally, or QuickBooks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a technology or IT services environment.
  • Exposure to process automation tools or financial systems enhancements.
  • Understanding of global finance operations and cross-currency transactions.
  • Chartered Accountant certification.

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in the accounting system.
  • Support preparation of customer invoices in India in partnership with the external tax and accounting firm.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports for leadership.
  • Partner with the external tax and accounting firm to support regulatory, corporate, and statutory deadlines.
  • Support month-end close activities and the statutory audit process.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
  • Participate in audits and respond to documentation requests.
  • Interface with procurement, operations, and finance teams to resolve issues and improve process efficiency.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as requested by finance leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes and contribute to standardized best practices.
  • Leverage technology and reporting tools to enhance team performance.
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
  • Complete client case studies and learning material, including blogs and media content.
  • Build material that contributes to the Digital Transformation practice.
  • Attend internal itD networking events, both in person and virtual.
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
