The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining a log of all journal entries and preparing the majority of the journal entries in the general ledger, reconciling all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, calculating and reconciling depreciation of all the fixed assets accounts, preparing bank reconciliation on a monthly basis, training new accountants, and preparing annual work papers for year-end audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
- One year of hospital/healthcare accounting/finance experience
- Proficient in business software applications
- Working knowledge of windows based personal computers
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years hospital/healthcare accounting/finance experience
- Current CPA
- Full cycle accounting experience
