The Opportunity Reconcile general ledger, reconcile bank accounts, and record monthly adjusting journal entries. Calculate month-end accruals and have a full understanding of entry. Participate in the annual audit by providing the proper schedules to the auditors. Daily cash management, including reconciliations between bank and internal systems. Work closely with Treasury, AP, and AR to determine the proper entries. Assist in the yearly filing and reconciliation of unclaimed property. Assist with daily accounting operations including AP, AR, and financial reporting. This includes financial statement analysis, reconciling AP and AR aging, fixed asset, and prepaid. Participate in ad-hoc analytical and research projects and process improvement initiatives. Set-up reconciliation process properly. Research GAAP guidance as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field of study required.
  • 5-8 years of accounting experience with GAAP and financial statement knowledge required.
  • Understand complex GL and bank reconciliations.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookup, ability to write simple formulas, etc.)
  • Ability to propose solution and drive a process from start to finish.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and flexible individual able to perform multiple tasks with varying priorities under conditions requiring both speed and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences, with strong presentation ability.
  • Ability to evaluate and convey information in legible reports to Finance, Operations, and Executive groups.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to research and troubleshoot any issues with errors.
  • Proactive and team centered, with a collaborative working style.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted accounting, reporting, or automation tools and a willingness to adopt new technologies.
  • Leverages AI-enabled accounting and analytics to improve accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of close and reporting processes.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and variance analysis through automation and intelligent tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a large ERP and financial reporting tools preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred.
