About The Position

This Senior Accountant will support the mobility revenue segments by recording, reporting, and analyzing revenue and costs. This position will maintain the general ledger, complete month-end closing procedures, and prepare bank and other balance sheet accounts. The role provides financial information by researching and analyzing data, preparing reports, and discussing results with management. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a tech savvy aptitude and a thorough knowledge of accounting principles. The ideal candidate will successfully collaborate with other members of the accounting team, cross-functional department leaders, and external customers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting
3+ years accounting experience preferred
Excellent Excel skills
Works well independently and in a team environment
Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to manage large amounts of data.
Able to manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

Sage experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Reconcile revenue for the mobility lines of business and banks for managed merchant accounts.
Record revenue and post journal entries for expenses and capital expenditures.
Request, monitor and control merchant accounts
Prepare and distribute commission reports
Work with the accounts payable department ensuring accurate and complete payment of commissions
Reconciles and records payroll costs.
Calculate and posts payroll related accruals
Calculate and record sales commissions on a monthly basis.
Prepare adhoc reports for customers and sales department as needed to understand sales trends and profitability
Work closely with other departments to track and analyze costs
Perform month end account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and post needed adjustments
Assist during interim and year audits preparing schedules as needed
Identify and implement initiatives for efficiencies in processes
Perform other duties as assigned
Filing and payment of sales tax
