About The Position

We are seeking a detail‑driven Senior Accountant with strong NetSuite expertise to join our finance team. In this role, you will co‑lead the month‑end close process and oversee key financial operations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across our accounting functions. Your work will directly support our daily financial activities and help strengthen our overall financial infrastructure. This position follows a hybrid schedule, with 2 days per week in our Rutherford, New Jersey office and 3 days remote, with flexibility provided.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
  • 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong NetSuite expertise, especially in prepaid and fixed asset modules
  • Background in media and public accounting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong overall computer proficiency
  • Experience with Adaptive reporting tools
  • Familiarity with the Concur expense reporting system
  • Experience working within a multi‑subsidiary environment
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities paired with sound judgment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal effectiveness
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently

Responsibilities

  • Cash management, balance sheet account reconciliations, prepaid expenses/other current assets
  • Inventory
  • Fixed assets
  • Intangible assets
  • Capitalized Software
  • Accrued expenses including accrued commissions (both internal & external)
  • Deferred revenue (events, licensing & online media), analysis of revenue and expense accounts
  • T&E Expense management
  • Intercompany transaction management
  • Preparation of year-end schedules for external auditors
  • Preparation of International Sales and Use Tax (VAT, GST, etc)
  • Collaborate with the team to establish, streamline, and automate procedures and processes to create efficiencies
  • Develop and build-on existing reporting capabilities and shorten time required to perform monthly close for multiple subsidiaries
