Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated experience payroll reconciliations, payroll accruals, and travel and expense tracking.
  • Highly detail oriented with strong experience in Excel, ERP systems, and US GAAP.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a high growth organization.
  • Able to get hands dirty to drive organizational change while also maintaining an ability to manage up against strategic priorities/reporting.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Ramp and Rippling preferred.
  • CPA (active or inactive) and/or MBA preferred.
  • Prior experience in companies that are tech or advanced manufacturing preferred.
  • Healthy mix of technical accounting and operational accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire payroll reconciliation process and accurately record all payroll and fringe related accruals at period end.
  • Monitor the HRIS platform to ensure proper Chart of Accounts and department mapping alignment.
  • Collaborate with HR to track high volumes of contingent employee bonuses and calculate monthly amortization.
  • Accrue for and reconcile Travel and Expense (T&E) transactions across multiple entities.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls and procedures related to the payroll accounting process.
  • Prepare footnotes, disclosures, and supporting schedules to support financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial reconciliations timely and be able to research and resolve variances as needed.
  • Prepare analytical reviews of employee compensation and T&E expenses to provide color and commentary to monthly, quarterly, and annual financials.
  • Help implement new systems or improve efficiencies with current systems to support continued company and team growth.
  • Contribute to the control environment by establishing, improving, and maintaining operational processes.
