Senior Accountant Be part of a transformative effort to improve the health and well-being of rural communities across Indiana. Our client is leading Indiana’s 5-year Rural Health Transformation Program, including the Make Rural Indiana Healthy Again Regional Grants, a historic $600M investment to strengthen healthcare access, prevention, and system resilience across 64 fully rural and nine partially rural counties. This initiative brings together state leadership, healthcare providers, and community organizations to design and implement solutions that reflect local needs while advancing a shared, statewide vision for better health outcomes. This role ensures financial integrity and accountability across a landmark statewide investment in rural health. About the Role The Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the financial management of a large-scale, multi-year public health initiative. This position applies governmental accounting principles to oversee funding streams, ensure compliance, and support accurate financial reporting tied to grant-funded programs. Working closely with program leadership, finance teams, and external stakeholders, the Accountant ensures that public funds are allocated, tracked, and reported with precision. The role requires both strong technical expertise and the ability to operate independently, making informed decisions in a fast-moving and evolving program environment. This is a highly visible opportunity for a self-directed professional who thrives in mission-driven work and wants to contribute to a high-impact statewide initiative.
