About The Position

The Opportunity: Saint Luke’s Hospital is seeking a Senior Accountant who coordinates, implements, and oversees the entity's complex accounting activities including; journal entries, financial statements, fixed assets, account reconciliations, compliance with GAAP accounting, financial reporting requirements, and assistance with budget process. Must have Bachelors degree and 3-5 years experience. Grant, research, and/or fund accounting preferred. The Work: Training and providing daily supervision of staff accountants accounting specialists accounting technicians and accounting interns. Reviews recorded journal entries and monthly financial statements identifying unusual or significant variances to ensure financial statements are fairly stated. Completion of accounting areas that are more complex or judgmental in nature with oversight from the manager or finance team. Position is responsible for special projects as assigned. Requirements

  • Advanced Excel experience – comfort utilizing formulas, pivot tables, xlookup, vlookup, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Eager to problem solve, takes initiative, and works independently.
  • Adaptability and critical thinking.
  • Communication with physicians – routine, dependable, and professional.
  • Must be organized and highly detail-oriented.
  • Applicable Experience: 3-5 years
  • Bachelor's Degree - Accounting
