About The Position

Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding Revolutionaries in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway. The Opportunity: Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant position will be integral to accounting operations and will contribute to the monthly and quarterly accounting close process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business with 2-3 years of relevant experience in an accounting or auditing role.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to anticipate events, prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.
  • Innovative, team-player with high energy for our rapidly growing company environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Big 4 public accounting firm and CPA license.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Experience working in a public company environment.
  • Experience with NetSuite and Coupa preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely and accurate journal entries for month-end and quarter-end close, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation. This includes but is not limited to R&D accruals, fixed asset depreciation, and investment accounting.
  • Conduct quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger maintenance.
  • Assist with internal and external auditor requests.
  • Assist in SOX compliance efforts.
  • Manage user access for financial systems such as Concur, Coupa, or similar platforms.
  • Support the evaluation and improvement of financial policies and procedures.
  • Participate in process improvements, financial system enhancements, and special projects as needed, including performing administrative tasks to support the team.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned.
