About The Position

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for manufacturing cost accounting
activities, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and providing
accurate financial reporting and analysis for Essex Solutions. This role
requires strong experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment,
advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across divisional
headquarters and plant operations.

Requirements

• Manufacturing / cost accounting experience required.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Five (5) years of related experience
• Strong self-starter and ability to work independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines with accurate and complete information
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to prioritize responsibilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

• Experience with ERP systems.
• 3-5 years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in QAD and/or OneStream a plus, prior experience in AR and metal accounting preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze daily metrics, production reports, KPI’s and spending reports.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts payable and invoice processing.
• Monitor spend control to ensure compliance with budget and financial policies; report on cost savings/avoidances.
• Participate in quarterly physical inventories; backup to Plant Accounting Manager.
• Prepare standard costing for new items.
• Collaborate with plant and finance teams to ensure accurate financial records.
