About The Position

Polygon Labs is a global blockchain payments company building and operating infrastructure to move money instantly, reliably, and at internet scale, with the mission to move all money onchain. It is building the Polygon Open Money Stack, an open and integrated stack of services and technologies to instantly and reliably move money anywhere, and put it to work. Its infrastructure has facilitated trillions of dollars in onchain value transfer and supported millions of transactions daily for some of the globe's largest banks, fintechs, enterprises, and consumer applications. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in supporting Polygon Labs’ global accounting operations in a high-growth, rapidly evolving environment. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where you will own critical areas of the close and reporting process, working with both traditional financial instruments and digital assets. Requirements

  • CPA with 4+ years of progressive accounting experience under US GAAP, including exposure to complex accounting areas
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with crypto or digital asset accounting
  • Experience with NetSuite and high-volume reconciliations in a production environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Big 4 audits
  • Background in regulatory compliance and audits within financial services, including money transmitter licensing
  • Familiarity with stablecoins, payments infrastructure, or tokenized financial instruments
  • Experience with crypto subledger tools and systems

Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid schedules, and intercompany reconciliations
  • Reconcile bank accounts and digital asset wallets with high-volume transaction activity
  • Account for complex financial instruments (including investment agreements, loan facilities, SAFEs/SAFTs, and warrants) in accordance with US GAAP, including classification, measurement, and ongoing monitoring
  • Perform entity-level financial statement flux analysis and prepare detailed variance reports (horizontal and vertical) for subsidiaries
  • Support preparation of US GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures across multiple jurisdictions
  • Maintain audit-ready workpapers and support external audits and regulatory reporting, including U.S. state filings related to money transmitter licenses
  • Perform crypto subledger reconciliations between NetSuite and digital asset systems, including maintaining rollforward schedules
  • Document accounting treatment for digital asset transactions and support ongoing policy development
  • Contribute to process improvements and support automation initiatives, including AI-driven reconciliation and reporting enhancements
