About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Accountant to take on diverse responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset, along with the ability to adapt to new processes and proactively improve them.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of accounting experience; public accounting experience a plus
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, including debit/credit accounting, complex reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Experience with general ledger systems and large ERP environments
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
• Self-starter with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Proven ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities
• Proactive mindset focused on process improvement and automation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally

• CPA or MBA preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, including high-volume cash, credit card, and third-party deposits
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of cash, ACH, and other disbursements
• Partner with internal teams to investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies
• Compile data and prepare monthly sales and use tax returns
• Coordinate timely payment of sales tax deposits
• Monitor sales tax rate and exemption changes and support system updates as needed
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and recurring entries
• Record bank fees, credit card processing fees, and interest transactions
• Account for third-party service activity, including deposits, adjustments, and accruals
• Reconcile high-risk balance sheet accounts and assist with variance analysis
• Review income statement expenses and provide explanations for fluctuations
• Support financial statements, internal reporting, allocations, roll-forwards, and tie-outs
