About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in El Segundo, CA. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role plays a key part in the preparation and review of financial statements, month-end close processes, and supporting internal and external audits. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of GAAP, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Advantage Surgical and Wound Care provides surgical wound care services at skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care facilities, clinical office locations and residential home settings. Our healthcare services cover various regions throughout the Unites States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a senior accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically QuickBooks and/or NetSuite, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Prior experience in healthcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist in managing the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
  • Analyze and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Collaborate with the Controller and Chief Financial Officer to prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring timely responses and accurate documentation.
  • Review and ensure proper coding of expenses and adherence to company policies.
  • Assist with the preparation of regulatory reports and filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and changes in accounting regulations.
