About The Position

Reporting to the Site Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant is responsible for performing the day-to-day finance and accounting tasks, including entering journals, analyzing account activity and financial results, supports accounts receivable and payable, maintains fixed asset records, using NetSuite and an internally developed enterprise system. The position is integral to ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounting activities that results in financial records and controls that are audit ready. The Senior Accountant will partner with the Site Accounting Manager to identify and implement process improvement to enhance efficiency. In this role you will get to: Performs complex reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and balance sheet items Timely post G/L account reconciliation in FloQast Prepares and review adjusting, closing, and recurring journal entries. Maintain and analyze prepaid expenses Process and maintain fixed asset transactions and records Assist as necessary with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Analyze Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Inventory and Revenue Recognition transactions process in DB system Become subject matter expert as it relates to DB system, document revenue recognition process and transaction flow Support annual financial audit Ensure adherence to Company accounting policies and procedures Support continuous improvements – streamline accounting processes, leveraging technology to enhance efficiencies and data integrity Perform ad hoc analysis

Requirements

  • 4-year Accounting and a minimum of 3 years’ of progressive experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in accounting, preferably public accounting or in a Small to Mid-Size ($20-100M) Manufacturing environment
  • Mid-Advanced Level knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of data gathering, sorting, filtering, etc… from ERP systems
  • Data Mining Capabilities using various data extraction tools (Access, SQL, etc…)
  • Experience with NetSuite and/or integrated ERP Systems for input and management of business transactions.

Responsibilities
