About The Position

ReSource Pro is seeking a Senior Accountant, Tax to provide tax compliance and reporting expertise with a focus on federal, state, and local income sales/use tax. This role will drive process improvement across tax tools and systems, support annual tax provision for audit, and support integration of new and acquired companies into tax reporting. The Senior Accountant, Tax will collaborate with internal ReSource Pro teams and external tax advisors to enhance efficiency and ensure accuracy in all compliance reporting. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5-7 years' experience in tax preparation and compliance (income and sales/use tax)
  • Experience with tax tools and ERP systems (Vertex, Workday, Office Connect)
  • Experience with MS Office Suite; Advanced Excel skills required
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables
  • Effective time management, priority setting, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills and solutions-oriented
  • Highly adaptable and able to embrace change with a positive attitude
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred (or CPA eligible)
  • M&A tax experience is a plus; Prior public accounting or private equity experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and compile global consolidated income tax filings, including quarterly and annual federal, state, and local reports
  • Investigate and reconcile material tax variances; provide timely, accurate documentation and reporting
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external tax partners to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
  • Prepare and file franchise, revenue, and other non-income tax returns; manage tax authority communications
  • Research and apply tax law changes across various jurisdictions
  • Support implementation and maintenance of sales tax tools (e.g., Vertex) to optimize sales tax compliance
  • Ensure accurate sales tax calculation, collection, reporting, and reconciliation across jurisdictions
  • Assist with annual income tax provision, including reconciliations of book-tax differences per US GAAP
  • Provide audit support and maintain documentation for tax accounting and acquisition transactions
  • Assess tax impacts of mergers and acquisitions; support tax integration and due diligence efforts
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for tax automation, compliance, and data accuracy
  • Promote a collaborative team culture through professionalism, open communication, and shared goals
