A well-established and respected local accounting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Tax Professional with leadership ambitions and a desire to grow into potential future firm ownership. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting and tax preparation.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Experience preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficient with accounting software and (QuickBooks, UltraTax and Microsoft).
Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong communication skills.
Friendly and client-focused attitude.

Nice To Haves

EA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor Bookkeeping Specialists to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns accurately and on time.
Identify tax planning opportunities, credits, and potential liabilities
Maintaining detailed financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Providing tax planning advice and identifying potential tax savings opportunities for clients.
Collaborating with clients to gather necessary documentation and answer tax-related questions.
Assisting with accounting tasks such as reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
Staying current with tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices to provide up-to-date advice.
Managing multiple client relationships and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Working independently and communicating effectively in a remote work environment.
