About The Position

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Senior Accountant (SEC Reporting) to help deliver accurate, relevant, and timely financial information to both our external investors and internal stakeholders. In this role, you will play a critical part in our financial reporting process by preparing SEC filings, supporting the monthly close and financial reporting process, and performing financial analysis in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. You’ll collaborate across teams, contribute to continuous improvement within accounting operations, and help ensure strong internal controls while supporting a high-quality close and reporting cadence. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of prior audit experience in a public accounting firm and/or financial reporting experience in a publicly traded company
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud and other cloud‑based Oracle solutions
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting concepts
  • Experience supporting Form 10-K and 10-Q filings and related disclosures, including exposure to XBRL tagging
  • Experience with business process optimization or continuous improvement in an accounting environment
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or other relevant professional certification (active or inactive, from any jurisdiction)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to enable an accurate and timely month‑end close
  • Analyze financial results and fluctuations, investigate variances, and ensure balances are recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Prepare and support SEC filings, including Forms 10‑K and 10‑Q, earnings releases, and related supporting schedules
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, responding to inquiries, and addressing accounting and internal control requirements
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to support accounting matters, transactions, and reporting needs
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) internal control requirements
  • Execute financial reporting queries and analyses that support financial statements, disclosures, and accounting processes
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across accounting workflows
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of accounting principles, SEC reporting requirements, and evolving accounting standards or regulatory guidance
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and best‑practice knowledge sharing to less experienced team members
